In Kernels of Magic I, the Magical disciplines of Pyromancy, Cryomancy, and Desolation each get a set of 3 new alternative Ability paths, and a bit of additional flavour text to boot!
Maloran's Cookbook, the Pyromancy Splat, focuses on the titular proto-Pyromancer Maloran, and the different forms of his favoured discipline he catalogued as he traveled across Tar Teratornis.
Variations on Ice, the Cryomancy Splat, focuses on how Cryomancy has developed in the civilian sphere primarily, exploring what the discipline might look like without the Heroes' Guild's influence.
The Magic of Nothing, the Desolation Splat, focuses on the inverse; the Desolation discipline is used mostly by those of the Adventuring lean. Thus, regional and organizational differences are explored instead.
As a note, all 3 Splats are only a little over 5pg long, as they primarily contain the details for the alternative ability sets.
